SolarCheck.uk is a free informational website that helps UK homeowners understand solar panel savings by postcode. We provide data-driven estimates of solar generation, savings, and payback periods, along with educational guides about solar energy.

What Data We Collect

Email Addresses

If you submit your email address through our savings report sign-up form, we collect your email address. This is processed by StaticForms (staticforms.xyz), a third-party form processing service. We use your email solely to send you your requested solar savings report and occasional updates about solar incentives or electricity price changes in your area. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email.

Quote Request Information

If you submit a quote request form, we collect your name, email address, postcode, property type, and system interest. This information is processed by StaticForms and used solely to connect you with MCS-certified solar installers in your area. Your data is shared only with installers who may contact you about your quote request.

Postcode Data

When you search for a postcode on our site, no personal data is collected. Postcode lookups use pre-generated static pages — no server-side processing or logging of your searches occurs.

Cookies

SolarCheck.uk does not use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking technology.

The only cookies that may be set are essential cookies required for basic website functionality (such as form submission). These are strictly necessary and do not require consent under UK GDPR.

Analytics

We do not currently run any analytics on this website. We may add privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible or Fathom) in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated. Any analytics we use will not track individual users or use cookies.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:
